The starting point is always a vague word. I collect words and images, and like fitting together a puzzle, I try to connect things that seem unrelated or mismatched.
I just start. Every day, I jot down notes, think, and take action. For a while, I let things accumulate. Then, when the time feels right, I dig through the pile to find something useful. Through this process, I eventually encounter that dazzling, brilliant moment. And even if it’s not dazzling, I keep going until I notice that faint sparkle... And so, I continue today.
The core of my interest lies in the act of creating and making. I prefer expressing my thoughts through images rather than words. That's probably why I'm still working on various projects at JOHA STUDIO. I enjoy spending time thinking about how I can express what I want to say through a particular image.
